Hiking on Union Redux

Today we decide to climb Mount Taboi, the highest peak on Union Island. It's only 1000 feet high, but there is no formal trail. I get some information online from a cruisers blog, and it turns out to be a fairly easy hike. Although there are plenty of thorny plants, I don't need to take out my axe. All three of us make it to the summit (Magali, Susan, and me).

Hiking on Union

A few of us went for a great hike today, starting at the house of some friends which is nestled beautifully up in the hills overlooking the windward side of the island. The goal was to climb the jagged Pinnacle in the center of the island. We started out with seven people, five dogs, and one cat. Only two of us made it all the way to the summit, but everyone had a great time.

Good Times in the Grenadines

I was lucky enough to meet and spend time with a lovely lady from Montreal and her French Canadian family and friends.  They know how to enjoy good food, good times, good friends!

Mopion Island must be one of the most romantic places on earth for a picnic for two.
