Preparations

We are safely tucked away at a slip in New London, CT, which will be our departure point next month. We put up the full cockpit enclosure, which is going to be much appreciated in the North Atlantic. Judy has been busy provisioning for the long term and stowing it away on board.

Down the River

Judy and I headed down the CT River yesterday, enjoying what truly must have been the last day of summer, and then spending a peaceful night at anchor near Essex. We had a strong current behind us, making quite good time, except for the 45 minutes we had to wait for the East Haddam swing bridge.
